2 Overview
Following is an overview of the STEP Handle reader ST2012.

To open the battery cover, a 1,5 mm Allen key is required
The battery is pre-installed in the handle
4 Installation
The follow instructions is for the installation of the STEP Handle reader ST2012
The Handle reader can be mounted on a modern standard Swedish lock house and Euro DIN.
4.1 Measurement
The package includes cut-to-length screws and an 8 mm square spindle.
Original parts fit doors up to 65 mm thick (A-dimension).
If the A-dimension exceeds 65 mm, accessories are required as listed below:
ST1088-110: 8 mm square spindle, length 110 mm
ST17901-140S: Cut-to-length screws, length 140 mm
See below to check the dimensions against the door’s A-dimension.
- Length of square peg: A-measure +5-18 mm
- Length of screws A-measure +20–25 mm
4.2 Physical installation
1.
Install the square peg in the handle so that the spring snaps into the hole, check that it is secured.

Install the exterior handle on the outside of the door.
3.
Mount the inner rosette with two screws and press the plastic cover into place.
4.
Install the inner handle and then press the plastic cover into place.
5.
Pull out the battery insulating pull tab to start the handle.
5 Power supply
1 battery, ER18505, 3.6V. 1 Battery included in the product.

Low battery status is indicated by LED flashing yellow/green when opening
5.1 Battery
Remove the stop screw from the back of the handle with a 1,5mm Allen key , take out the battery holder. Install the new battery in the battery holder and insert it into the handle again. Lock the battery holder with the stop screw from the back.
6. StepLock Lite APP
The follow instructions is for adding the STEP ST2012 door handle to StepLock Lite App.
6.1 Create system and add device
The account that is logged in when the system is created will automatically become the system owner and cannot delete the system or remove its own admin rights. If the system owner needs to be changed, please contact our support team and we will assist with this.
We recommend creating the system using the end user’s account.
- Go to Admin > Setting (The Wheel) > Create System.
2. Enter System name > Add Device and Create System > Scan the Keycard with the backside of your mobile phone.
Warning: You can’t create a system without a device.
3. Now under ”Doors” you can find your system with the added device. To add more devices, go to Admin > Sellect current system
4. Manage devices > Add Device > Scan the Keycard with the backside of your mobile phone. For more information about the StepLock Lite App, see the full manual "Steplock Lite App".
Note: If you have been invited as a user and have not received any notification, please close the app and open it again.
