3.2 Connecting door environment
1 Introduction
This article provides instructions for setting up, installing and using the QR-labels for virtual intercom and reader.
2 Overview
Following is an overview of the QR-Label for Intercom.
3 Installation
3.1 Physical installation
NOTE: It is crucial to verify that the surface is clean and dry before installing the label on the surface.
3.1.1 Placement
Placement should be easily accessible, readable and adapted to use with a mobile phone camera when entering the door environment.
3.1.2 Requirements for operation
For the QR-Label to open a door environment you need to install a door controller, for example ST2042, ST2043, ST2041 or ST2040.
3.2 Connecting door environment
3.2.1 Connecting Reader to door environment
- Go to devices and search for the unit you want to add the decal to.
2. Navigate to the specific door environment you want to add the decal to or create a new door environment.
3. Go to the bottom of the page and write in the serial number displayed under the QR-code, press add.
You can now add the device to Access codes to use it as a virtual keypad.
3.2.2 Connecting Intercom to door environment
Follow the steps above, after the steps you will get the option to add the virtual intercom. Write in the same number that you did for the contactless decal and press add.
Now when you create contacts, the virtual intercom will show up as a device.
3.2.3 Activate Local opening with QR
To activate the need to scan the QR-code to open the door, tick the box under Mobile access control that say, “Local opening with QR”.
NOTE: For this to work, you also need to activate the mobile access control on the unit and assign an ekey to the user that will provide them with the activation code for the door environment.
