What is this article about?
The article describes how to set up a manual start for schedules in the Steplock Cloud. It explains that for doors programmed to open automatically according to a schedule, the schedule will only commence once the first person arrives and uses their card.
You can have the following scenarios:
- Scenario 1: The schedule to unlock the door starts at 08:00. However, Erik uses his card and code to access the door at 07:45. The door operates normally, opening and then closing after 5 seconds. When it's 08:00, the unlocking schedule automatically activates.
- Scenario 2: With the unlocking schedule set for 08:00, Erik arrives 15 minutes late at 08:15. The door remains locked until he presents his card and inputs his code. The door unlocks as per the schedule, which has been active since 08:00, provided someone has already used the door.
- Scenario 3: The door’s unlocking schedule is in place until 17:00. On a quieter day, Erik opts to leave 15 minutes early, while the schedule is still on. Erik deactivates the unlocking schedule by pressing *, showing his card, and entering his code, then leaves. Consequently, the door locks.
