Intruder Alarm Control via Card Reader
IMPORTANT This document describes how to arm and disarm an intruder alarm system using a card reader. StepLock only controls third-party alarm systems. Settings such as entry and exit delays, as well as the time allowed for StepLock to receive confirmation that the alarm system has been armed, are configured in the intruder alarm system. |
Arming an Alarm Area
Press the # symbol to initiate an arming request.
Present your tag or key fob to the reader to confirm the arming request.
When the reader shows a steady red light, the alarm area is armed.
IMPORTANT
The time required to arm the alarm area depends on the settings in the intruder alarm control panel. If an arming fault occurs, it must be checked using the intruder alarm system’s keypad or control panel.
Disarming an Alarm Area
Present your tag to the card reader to initiate a disarming request.
Enter your personal PIN code to confirm the disarming request.
When the reader flashes green every five seconds, the alarm area is disarmed.
IMPORTANT
Alarm acknowledgement and other control functions must be performed using the intruder alarm system´s keypad or control panel.
