General Description:
Main controller unit designed to handle communication, power, and signal conversion over Ethernet. It includes several security and communication features, as well as fuses and UPS integration.
Overview:
Main features:
Communication and signal conversion:
U2: Converts Ethernet signals into data formats that can be transmitted via power cables.
J1: (Ethernet in): This port is used for the Ethernet connection to the device.
Power:
D7 : (UPS): An integrated UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is supplied pre-assembled. It ensures continuous operation during power failures. (Batteries not included)
J6: Simplifies communication between the power supply and the printed circuit board(PCB). It also monitors potential issues, such as battery failures or power loss, and reports these issues via the status LED (LED1-LED6).
Fuse and power protection:
5x20 Glass Fuses: Each fuse is set at 1.5 A, which gives a total of 6A available from the board. The circuit board can withstand up to 6 A. Fuses can be upgraded if only a few devices are in use, or downgraded as needed. Can't go over a total of 6A.
Output ports:
J3: Handles up to 8 units, freely distributed over 4 outputs. Each output has a standard fuse of 1.5 A. Cable thickness depends on power consumption, although it does not affect communication. Standard power consumption calculations apply to transformers, with a 24V output.
PS: When connecting an intercom (ST2029 + ST2020) you will have to reduce the number of devices by "1" for each intercom that is added to the system.
Status Indicators (LED1-LED6):
- BAT: Battery status (ok/not ok).
- CHG: Charging status (charging/not charging).
- MAIN: Main input at 240V (ok/not ok).
- ETH: Ethernet connection (connected/not connected).
- PLC: Powerline communication status.
- PWR: System power status.
Technical specifications:
- Power input: 240V (InInput).
- Output power: 24V on four terminals.
- Fuses: 1.5 A per output, with a total PCB capacity of 6 A.
- Ethernet: RJ45 input (J1).
- UPS: Integrated and pre-assembled, ensuring uninterrupted power during failures.
- Cable specifications: The maximum cable length should not exceed 200 meters. The cable thickness varies according to the power consumption.
Indicators and monitoring:
LED indicators (LED1-LED6) for battery status, power, Ethernet, and other functions, as outlined above.
Security:
- Fuse protection: 6 fuses are built into the device to protect the circuits from overloading.
- Power monitoring: Integrated functionality to alert users (LED1-LED6) of power problems, battery problems or power outages.
